The Wine

Domaine Queylus 2015 Signature Pinot Noir

In our opinion, a good Pinot Noir is all about texture — well, that and delicious cran-cherry fruit with some underlying earthiness. And that’s just what we have here, in yet another wonderful Pinot from Domaine Queylus. A beautiful nose of red berries, cherries and cranberries tease a wonderfully soft and juicy that is just pure Pinot. Soft, lovely, approachable, cute – it’s the loyal puppy of wines. Balanced, bright and juicy, with a pure terroir expression that feels wild and a little naughty. The finish is long, smooth and fruity.

Stratus 2012 Wildass White

Four noble grapes, one fantastic taste experience. Blended from Chardonnay, Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc and Viognier, this unique assemblage is more than the sum of its parts. Taste Bud Zoltan Szabo noted, "gorgeous tropical fruit and exotic cedar-waxy hints, with butter and licorice candy nuances." Lindsay Groves notes the wine’s "impressive texture and length" and loves its "medium weight, with flavours of citrus, apple, vanilla and nuts, and a lingering spicy finish." Overall, the kwäf Taste Buds give it 89+ points.
