Malivoire 2017 Fruit Stand Gamay
A juicy and thoroughly enjoyable Gamay, made in the Malivoire tradition. This is all about delicate fruit and texture, though the wine is ably supported by a touch of wood via three months in French oak foudres (aka, large vats). Wonderful aromas and flavours of black cherry, blackberry and blueberry jam fill your glass. It’s juicy, round and delicious.
Stratus 2017 Tollgate Rose
Pretty aromas of wild red berries, cherries and hints of of fresh, savoury notes. Bright and vibrant flavours, with lots of berry fruit and juicy acidity. Fresh red berries, watermelon and lime with a little spice and a lingering finish. You could take this to Provence and be very happy, or you might sneak it into a picnic at your favourite park disguised as cranberry juice. We won’t tell.
Closson Chase 2016 The Brock Chardonnay
One of Prince Edward County’s other most-famous wineries, Closson Chase has focused on Chardonnay and Pinot Noir since its inception in 1998. This juice shows elegant flavours of lemon, pear, green apple and butter. Medium-bodied with undertones of nuts and brioche. A very well put together wine.
